The purpose of the study was to analyse the possibilities of using artificial intelligence (AI) to improve the safety of dangerous goods transportation in Ukraine, considering the European integration process. The study assessed the current state of use of AI technologies, analysed the compliance of Ukrainian standards with international requirements, and identified areas for further research in this area. The study results showed that AI could significantly improve transportation safety using hazardous materials by optimising routes, predicting emergencies, automatically monitoring the technical condition of transport, and introducing autonomous vehicles. Examples of successful AI implementation in the EU and the USA, as well as in Ukraine, where pilot projects are already underway, are identified. The study’s conclusions emphasise the need to adapt international practices to improve transport safety in Ukraine. It is recommended to use AI more actively in logistics processes, integrate technologies by European standards, and continue to develop innovative solutions in cooperation with international partners.
