Context: Microservices architecture (MSA) is an innovative approach to software development which has addressed many of the challenging issues that software industries face today. The Bangladeshi software industry is a growing sector that has the potential of significant economic contribution to the country's development. However, according to a study performed in 2017, it was seen that the industry yet faces several challenges that are hindering this growth. Objective: The systematic literature review of microservices architecture proposed in this paper tries to address some of these issues and propose potential solutions. Method: 120 papers were selected initially from several renowned databases, and filtered in 4 phases through several inclusion and exclusion criteria. The studies were selected published between the years 2015 through 2023 . Results: This paper aims to address several challenges posed in the Bangladeshi software industry among which include scalability, lack of diversity in experience, inadequate performance measurement, communication issues, lack of adoption of advanced practices, and the like, as well as propose the techniques to solve these problems. These techniques include independent scaling of services, modular approach to experience enhancement, better monitoring systems, etc. Conclusion: By synthesizing these findings, provides valuable guidance for organizations embarking on this transformative journey.
