Risk Mitigation for a Healthy and Safe Environment: Worker’s Rights and Sustainable Technology

Previous studies categorized economic, society, and environment as pillars to be the foundation for sustainable development. Thus, by enhancing these three fundamental aspects, sustainable development gains credibility in terms of enhancing workplace health and safety. However, conclusions of these studies have a limitation in considering only the three pillars as prior studies failed to integrate the other three components of sustainable development, namely cultural, political, and technological issues. Sustainable development may be ensured by prioritizing workplace health and safety innovation for all individuals involved in internal and external work activities . The use of safety measures reduces the occurrence of workplace accidents and diseases. Therefore, this research focuses on workplace health and safety innovation, presenting new foundations for sustainable development, examining their influence on sustainable development, and identifying potential topics for further research in these foundations. There is a scarcity of research on the impact of workplace health and safety innovation initiatives on sustainable development. However, this literature primarily emphasizes the commonalities between workplace innovation and sustainable development. The research also revealed that the implementation of workplace health and safety measures of risk leads to sustainable growth by promoting the well-being of individuals and the workers’ rights, creating a safer workplace environment. Reducing the financial burden of accidents, maintaining a regulated environment, effectively managing workplace incidents, and enhancing understanding of workplace safety.
