The article, dedicated to mental health, examines the importance of this aspect in the context of modern socio-economic challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic, the war in Ukraine, and other crises. It has been established that mental health is the basis of a person's overall well-being, which includes psychological, emotional, and social well-being. The article provides a comprehensive analysis of the publications of domestic and foreign scientists related to the study of the nature of stress and stress resistance. The results of research devoted to chains of human self-regulation, coping strategies, and mechanisms of mental protection are presented, which made it possible to generalize the concept of stress resistance as a complex of mental properties. Theories and models of concepts of professional stress are analyzed, and psychological mechanisms of stress resistance in the context of different approaches are highlighted. In addition, based on the analysis of philosophical and psychological-pedagogical views, the phenomenon of stress resistance of the individual was revealed. This analysis allows for a better understanding of this phenomenon's complexity and multifaceted nature, as well as approaches to its research and development. The work examines the impact of stress on personnel's mental health and approaches to the definition and development of stress resistance. The main attention is paid to the need to implement mental health support programs, which can significantly increase the level of stress resistance of employees, help them adapt to changes, and maintain work productivity . The article emphasizes the problem's relevance in modern society and offers specific measures to improve the mental well-being of employees. The study results show that the development and implementation of such programs is an important condition for increasing stress resistance and the general level of mental health in society.
