This chapter brings to the fore the main results of the study. Greece received remarkable foreign aid. Until the end of the Civil War, emphasis was given on military needs. Plans for industrialization and structural change were circulated. After 1950, the orthodox monetary and fiscal policy became rule number one for American advisors. Greek economists transitioned from a historical approach to an Anglo-Saxon theoretical view of the economy, as the country was moving on to enjoy achievements and face shortcomings in later decades.
