We present the results of the blasting monitoring produced by mining activity in the town of Cerro de San Pedro, Mexico, where the San Pedro Temple was founded in 1592. As a reference for future conservation projects, we used DIN 4150-3 standard for historical monuments. This work aims to determine that the mining activity in Cerro San Pedro meets the established safety criteria. The results showed a maximum particle velocity of 1.9 mm/s with an explosive charge of 23 Tons. No blasting exceeded the limits proposed by DIN 4150-3. The predominant frequencies of soil vibration in the San Pedro temple are 2.6 to 4.9 Hz, indicating that Cerro de San Pedro's town is located on firm ground free of site effects. However, implementing additional structural reinforcements in the San Pedro temple might be essential to mitigate the blasting practices.
