For the photovoltaic in the practical application is easy to be blocked by the shadow, the engineering model of the photovoltaic module is used to build the shadow state model. In this paper, through simulation, it is found that the PV curve of photovoltaic panels under the shadow will show a state of multiple peaks. The traditional perturbation observation method is prone to getting stuck in local optima extreme point, so a Cuckoo Search Algorithm based maximum power point tracking method is proposed in this paper. Through comparative simulation analysis and verification, the algorithm can track the global maximum power point and effectively improve the output efficiency.
