The current study is about the influence of media translation dynamics on social media and digital communities. Multimedia translation, especially on websites, plays an essential role in determining the nature and direction of many social media conversations. For this reason, multimedia translation has become both beneficial and challenging at the same time. Moreover, the study shows that in the era of global change and cross-cultural interactions, the question of truthful information is a significant factor in the fight against misinformation. As a result, the study is based on an online survey, focus groups, and the results of a sentiment analysis. As supported by the findings, machine translation plays a vital role in increasing the popularity of social media. On the contrary, these translators have a slight effect on the improvement of media translation and work of the platform participants. Regarding the translation dynamics on Ukraine’s social media, several challenges are worth mentioning such as the inaccuracies in the media translation, time of the given translation, the new mentality requirements, and the essence of the information possessing. In addition, there is a significant difference in the generation’s interest related to reliable information searching. Youth use social media to a more considerable extent. Finally, the work has revealed that reliable media translation must work following ethical principles and be done by professionals.
