Online education, which accelerated during the Covid-19 pandemic, has become a lasting alternative to traditional modes of educational delivery. Artificial intelligence is in its embryonic stages in education but promises to revolutionize the field as well as society. As those in education, from teachers, students, administrators, policymakers, and others, grapple with the impact of artificial intelligence, Q can play a role in clarifying the contours of the debate as well as the potential policies that are certain to emerge. Additionally, a study of role conception of faculty at a liberal arts college is offered as an example of the power of Q to reveal orientations that scale measurement cannot render. The chapter ends by making the argument for the use of single-case Q-methodological research in the education sciences and how that approach is connected to quantum theory.
