A Global Health (GH) career can be a greatly rewarding yet challenging undertaking, especially during the often-arduous OB/GYN training path. In this chapter I will share my recommendations about pursuing a GH career during OB/GYN training and beyond while sharing my personal experiences, challenges, and successes. We will address questions such as: how can you turn a budding GH interest into tangible GH involvement? How can you fuel the momentum in GH endeavors despite unexpected challenges and conflicting responsibilities? How can you become an effective GH leader with a focus on GH ethics and sustainability? And finally, how can you continue to engage in GH meaningfully as an attending physician?
