As per the previous volumes of the Turbomachinery Project series, this chapter initially seeks to establish the stages that must be dealt with to project a Hydraulic Impulse Turbine (HIT), along with the various needs thereof, considering the many particularities of Turbomachines. This will extend from design studies to the operational and reliability studies. Once this has been completed, we will study the geometries of HITs, along with some of their particular characteristics.
