Policy Frameworks and Institutional Support for Climate-Resilient Mango Production

Climate-resilient mango production requires a supportive policy and institutional environments. This chapter examines the global and national policy frameworks, institutional support mechanisms, and financial instruments that can enable climate-resilient mango production. It reviews existing policies and programs in major mango-producing countries like India, China, and Brazil highlighting successes and challenges. The chapter also explores extension services, capacity building, and climate information systems that can support farmers in adopting climate-resilient practices. Case studies from countries with effective policy and institutional support are presented, and emerging opportunities and innovations are discussed. The chapter concludes with recommendations for policymakers and practitioners to enhance policy frameworks and institutional support for climate-resilient mango production.
