Climate change poses significant threats to mango production and the livelihoods of mango growers and communities worldwide. Through a review of existing literature and case studies from major mango-producing regions, this chapter highlights the vulnerability of mango production to climate-related stresses such as temperature and precipitation changes, extreme weather events, and shifting growing seasons. This chapter also examines the socio-economic impacts of climate change on mango growers and communities, including changes in income, food security, gender roles, and community dynamics. Case studies of socioeconomic impacts from the mango-producing countries such as India, Pakistan, and Brazil are also discussed in the chapter. The findings of this chapter underscore the need for urgent action to address the socio-economic impacts of climate change on mango growers and communities, and to ensure the long-term sustainability of mango production and the livelihoods of the dependent communities.
