An iliopsoas abscess is defined as pus collection in the iliopsoas muscle compartment. Iliopsoas abscess is a relatively rare condition. An iliopsoas abscess can develop primarily due to hematogenous or lymphatic spread from a distant site or as a result of direct secondary spread of infection of the iliopsoas muscle from an adjacent structure. This chapter discuss the clinical features, diagnosis and treatment of iliopsoas abscess.
