Pruritus ani is a common condition and it defined as intense chronic itching affecting the perianal area. It results in itching and irritation in the perianal skin and the desire to scratch the anal area. Pruritus ani is classified into two types, idiopathic pruritus ani and secondary pruritus ani. This chapter discuss the etiology, classification, clinical features and treatment of pruritus ani.
