Industry 5.0 (I5.0) is a transformative shift in business models, emphasizing technology and customization within ecological boundaries. Despite its importance, there is a scarcity of research on evaluating digital tools that support training for the I5.0 transition. This study aims to fill this gap by assessing the quality and effectiveness of the I-GO Assistant tool from the perspective of bachelor students in Brazil. This self-assessment digital tool can support companies towards the I5.0 transition. To measure the student’s expectations and perceptions of the use of the tool, the SERVQUAL model served as the instrument for comparing the I-GO Assistant application and quality gap analysis, involving the profiling of 148 participants. Our findings reveal that, while user expectations generally exceeded their perceptions across the five service quality dimensions, statistical analysis showed a high level of satisfaction, with responses predominantly falling within the 4–5 range on the Likert scale. Recommendations for improvement included incorporating social aspects into the next version of the I-GO Assistant, one of the pillars of I5.0. This study contributes to the limited body of knowledge on the evaluation of digital tools for training in I5.0 and provides insights for improving such tools to better support organizations in the transition to I5.0.
