Dysautonomia, which refers to dysfunction of the autonomic nervous system, is a common migraine comorbidity and encompasses a wide spectrum of autonomic disorders, with the most common being postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS), neurocardiogenic syncope (NCS), orthostatic hypotension (OH) and orthostatic intolerance (OI). Other related conditions, such as hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (h-EDS) and post-acute sequelae of SARS-CoV-2 infection (PASC), are also prevalent among patients with migraine and are often comorbid with dysautonomia. In clinical setting, these disorders may present a diagnostic and therapeutic challenge and require a high index of suspicion to identify in patients with migraine. Diagnostic criteria, pathophysiologic mechanisms and therapeutic considerations in autonomic disorders and related conditions associated with migraine are reviewed in this chapter.

摘要
