Increasing complexity in product development and production leads companies to employ model-based systems engineering (MBSE). The model-based approach fosters efficiency and effectiveness in product development. However, companies struggle with implementing MBSE especially from an organizational standpoint. This paper presents a methodology for supporting companies in organizational design. Artifacts, activities, roles and models for MBSE are being structured in an organizational graph represented by a resource description framework (RDF). Company-specific models are being derived using reference views in order to support organizational design.

摘要

Increasing complexity in product development and production leads companies to employ model-based systems engineering (MBSE). The model-based approach fosters efficiency and effectiveness in product development. However, companies struggle with implementing MBSE especially from an organizational standpoint. This paper presents a methodology for supporting companies in organizational design. Artifacts, activities, roles and models for MBSE are being structured in an organizational graph represented by a resource description framework (RDF). Company-specific models are being derived using reference views in order to support organizational design.
