Data-Driven Demonstrator for Sustainable Production Through Remanufacturing
摘要
This paper presents the development of a data-driven demonstrator designed to communicate the advantages of remanufacturing within the industrial circular economy. Utilizing an adaptable simulation model built in Plant Simulation, the demonstrator evaluates sustainability indicators across economic, ecological, and social dimensions, providing a comprehensive tool for decision-makers in manufacturing. The integration of dynamic visualizations through a Tableau dashboard enables users to interactively explore the impacts of circular production processes, highlighting the benefits and trade-offs compared to traditional linear models. Although challenges such as scarce data availability and the complexity of remanufacturing integration exist, the demonstrator’s adaptability offers a conceptual framework for analyzing and promoting sustainable production practices. This study emphasizes the role of technology-driven solutions in facilitating the transition to a circular economy by offering a scalable model for visualizing remanufacturing integration into industrial processes. Future research should focus on expanding the demonstrator’s applicability and enhancing real-time data integration.
