The United Nations established 17 global goals for a sustainable future. In the context of sustainable consumption and production, the textile industry plays a decisive role. Globally, approximately 20% of environmental pollution can be attributed to textile production [1]. To enhance sustainability within textile production, it is necessary to estimate the environmental impacts of a process chain in advance. One way to enhance sustainability is through conducting a life cycle assessment (LCA) to determine the environmental impacts of a product. For many producers, however, the environmental impact of a product is not the only key objective that must be met. Thus, we have developed a decision support system based on an LCA approach, which assists textile manufacturers in selecting an appropriate process route. This system aims to identify the process route with the lowest environmental impact while also considering the producer’s requirements regarding efficiency, feasibility, and production speed.

摘要
