The determination of phosphate ions in water quality is one of the important indicators. This article studies the application of industry recommended standards in practical testing, and explores the influence of changing the order of reagent addition on experimental results. Experiments have shown that compared to the standard method (original sulfuric acid ammonium molybdate reducing agent), the newly adjusted method (reducing agent ammonium molybdate sulfuric acid) can achieve higher sensitivity, but high concentration has poor stability and has certain significance for low concentration/ultra-low concentration detection. The standard method has certain advantages in terms of measurement range and accuracy, but the adjusted scheme can serve as a validation of the standard method and a supplement for low concentration measurements.
