Solving the quantum many-body problem for a system of fermions is a computationally challenging task. In this chapter, we first provide an overview of many-body methods in nuclear physics. Next, we introduce the formalism for the no-core configuration interaction (NCCI) method, which will serve as our many-body method of choice. Finally, we provide an overview of the computational workflow we use to perform NCCI calculations.

摘要

Solving the quantum many-body problem for a system of fermions is a computationally challenging task. In this chapter, we first provide an overview of many-body methods in nuclear physics. Next, we introduce the formalism for the no-core configuration interaction (NCCI) method, which will serve as our many-body method of choice. Finally, we provide an overview of the computational workflow we use to perform NCCI calculations.
