Switched Reluctance Machine
摘要
This chapter explores the applications, structural characteristics, and versatility of switched reluctance machines (SRMs) in various sectors. Invented in 1838, SRMs have simple structures and low manufacturing costs, supporting their use in industrial, automotive, and renewable energy environments. Technological advances in power electronics and microprocessors, coupled with improved control techniques and innovative designs such as hybrid topologies and adaptive strategies, have significantly enhanced their efficiency while addressing challenges such as torque ripple and acoustic noise. In the automotive sector, SRMs are used in hybrid and electric vehicles, offering high power density and reliability. In aerospace, they replace conventional systems with more compact and efficient electrical solutions. For renewable energy, SRMs are utilized in wind turbines, particularly in microgeneration systems and isolated regions. Their integration with emerging technologies, including machine learning and advanced control algorithms, positions SRMs as a promising alternative for sustainability and electrification, highlighted by their operational flexibility and resilience in adverse conditions. The ongoing research aims to further improve their efficiency and expand their adoption in industrial and energy applications.
