Since the beginning of human history, men and women have been struggling to assume their roles in life as two different sexes. Women and men, who continue their existence under their identities called “gender”, appear before us with their unequal positions. It has become very important to increase the level of representation of women, who constitute half of the world’s population. In the world, women cannot participate equally in public administration, they cannot take part in senior positions and positions that affect the management process, and it is observed that the positions they take are not sustainable. In this study, the place of women’s labor in the management function in companies in the context of gender composition is tried to be discussed. In the study, a theoretical review is made; after a detailed examination of the concepts of gender composition, gender inequality, the role of women in top management, company performance and strategic management and the sustainable presence of women’s labor in management, the keywords of the study will be discussed with articles, book chapters, theses and conference presentations in the Google Scholar database between 2012 and 2024. The aim of the study is to explain the role of women in management by defining the sustainability of women and their labor in management and to fill the gap in the literature by guiding researchers at this point.

摘要
