This study aims to develop a comprehensive service quality assessment framework for private hospitals through an extensive semi-systematic review of service quality, patient satisfaction, and loyalty. The critical evaluation of these literatures defined service quality dimensions and establishing relationship between service quality, patient satisfaction, and loyalty. This study has identified eight major dimensions including tangibility, reliability, responsiveness, empathy, assurance, administrative responsiveness, social responsibility, and cost. The conceptual framework proposes the direct relationship between service quality, patient satisfaction, and loyalty. Current research often overlooks the moderating role of health beliefs and patient experience in the expectation-perception gap and patient satisfaction, whereas patient trust mediates the relationship between satisfaction and loyalty. This study integrates these least-focused factors to understand private hospital service quality. The research addresses these gaps to enhance patient satisfaction and healthcare delivery through more effective and tailored strategies.

摘要
