A Bibliometric Review of Research Trends, Challenges and Future Directions in Smart Medical Bracelets
摘要
This paper reports on a bibliometric study of smart medical bracelets performed over the period 2019 to 2024 with the help of the Scopus database. The identification of main trends made mention of artificial intelligence, deep learning and IoT for real-time health monitoring. Wearable technologies are paramount in the management of chronic diseases and in enhancing the outcomes of people, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. It was found that smart medical bracelets could indeed offer the potential for a non-invasive way to monitor health continuously. While this review is confined to English language publications, the conclusions drawn carry a valuable scope and light over future research requirements like involving a wide number of databases, evaluation of long-term effectiveness and the fusion with new emerging technologies.
