MPPT of standalone PV System Based on grey Wolf Optimization (GWO) in Comparison with Traditional Algorithms
摘要
MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) is a technology used in solar power systems to maximize the energy output from photovoltaic panels. MPPT controllers continuously adjust the operating voltage and current of the panels to ensure they operate at their peak efficiency, allowing for more power to be extracted from the solar panels. It is crucial for efficiency of operation of the systems of utilization of solar power and, therefore, the actual output of energy from the systems. This paper introduces a new MPPT strategy which utilizes GWO technique for determining optimum PV power generation systems. This method was tested against the traditional P and O and Fuzzy Logic algorithm and checked for its efficiency using Simulation implementation. From the obtained results, therefore, it can be agreed that the suggested MPPT delivers better tracking performance under any weather circumstance than both P and O as well as Fuzzy Logic Controller based MPPT algorithms.
