With the increasing proliferation of drones, or Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), across various sectors, both opportunities and challenges arise, particularly concerning security and privacy. The misuse of drones for malicious activities has necessitated the development of advanced anti-drone systems to detect, identify, and neutralize these threats effectively. This article discusses the critical aspects of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in enhancing anti-drone systems, highlighting recent advances in AI applications for both drones and anti-drone technologies. The integration of AI techniques such as machine learning deep learning, computer vision, and multi-agent systems has significantly improved the detection, identification, tracking, and interception capabilities of anti-drone systems. This work provides an overview of the state-of-the-art AI technologies driving the evolution of both drones and counter-drone measures.
