GIS and Multi-criteria Decision Analysis for Sustainable Urban Planning and Governance
摘要
This paper explores the integration of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) for enhancing urban sustainability and governance. By combining economic, environmental, social, and governance-related criteria, this approach identifies optimal locations for urban development. The GIS-based site selection coupled with MCDA-driven suitability evaluation, aims to address challenges in sustainable urban land use planning and governance. Our findings highlight the importance of incorporating advanced analytical techniques to enable comprehensive and intelligent urban planning, ultimately fostering resilient and sustainable urban development. This study demonstrates the practical applications of GIS and MCDA in various urban planning scenarios, highlighting their potential to transform decision-making in urban governance.
