Artificial intelligence (AI) redefines recruitment, now intervening at almost every stage, from planning to decision-making. This study proposed a narrative review of the literature on the use of AI in recruitment, highlighting the ethical issues and challenges posed by this practice. Based on a literature search of the Scopus, Web of Science, and Research Gate databases, we identified the main risks associated with AI, including the biases introduced by these technologies and their impacts on organizational efficiency and performance. While AI promises to reduce costs and optimize turnaround times, it also raises important questions regarding fairness, integrity, and accountability in recruitment processes. Current research still insufficiently explores the social and organizational effects of AI on companies and candidates. This article offers a structured overview of the ethical challenges associated with AI tools in recruitment and the new recruitment process in the AI era, addressing often overlooked aspects such as the impact on the employer brand and the future place of the human in this context. We conclude by suggesting ways to adopt these technologies more responsibly and ethically to promote a sustainable balance between humans and machines.

摘要
