This chapter proposes different mathematical formulations and geometrical metaphors based on the interaction between deals and relationships within the whole market transaction to show how the joint value of market transactions is formed. It is then argued that the objective of commerce is to maximize the long-term value of market transactions over time under generalized resource constraints by appropriate management of the relationship on both sides. Issues in commerce research are presented at the end of the chapter.

摘要

This chapter proposes different mathematical formulations and geometrical metaphors based on the interaction between deals and relationships within the whole market transaction to show how the joint value of market transactions is formed. It is then argued that the objective of commerce is to maximize the long-term value of market transactions over time under generalized resource constraints by appropriate management of the relationship on both sides. Issues in commerce research are presented at the end of the chapter.
