The Third Dimension of GIS and LADM – Current Status and Perspectives
摘要
This paper describes the overall trends in 3D geoinformation and the Land Administration Domain Model (LADM). Several aspects of these domains, such as data collection, processing, modeling, databasing, and visualization, are under investigation by researchers in academia or industry. Their works have been reported in international meetings and conferences, which have discussed increasingly advanced methods and techniques. In general, 3D geoinformation has advanced considerably, as is seen in current discussions within the 3D GIS community and the LADM and 3D Land Administration (LA) group. Conferences, workshops, and specialized user group meetings worldwide provide the latest research and development on the subject. This paper highlights the most recent findings on these two major domains in 3D geoinformation and provides insights into possible future developments.
