Nowadays, fast and unplanned urbanization growth has an impact on territorial development. Which have led to significant issues with societal disputes, human growth, economic activities that harm natural areas, biodiversity loss, and environmental degradation. Urban green spaces, especially urban parks, have a favorable impact on the physical environment of urban agglomerations as well as the psychology of their residents, and they have been shown to enhance quality of life through their diverse recreational amenities. This is the case of the Bouficha’s urban park design in Sousse, Tunisia. The methodology developed in this research comprises three steps. First, the evolution of landscapes and environments in the study area was examined using Google Earth images. Then, a survey was performed to find the concept that would drive the development project. Third, the urban park’s design reflected the unique qualities of the region. Solutions that use geoinformatics in urban planning can have an impact on the development of these areas’ designs and planning.
