Detection of Tumor Pathology During Mass Health Screenings of Citizens Over 18 Years Old
摘要
This study is devoted to the identification of tumor pathology, as well as with confirmed tumor verification, during mass health screening among citizens over 18 years old. It shows a total of 312,206 tumour cases were identified between 2013 and 2020, with 183,436 being malignant. There is a marked upward trend in both benign and malignant tumor detection rates, with a CAGR of 6.6%. In 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which temporarily disrupted medical examination, the detection of tumor pathology continued to grow. This indicates a growing prevalence of cancer diagnoses, reflecting the success of extensive preventive measures, especially health screenings. In addition, the move to automated health check data collection has improved the accuracy, reliability and quality of the statistics provided.
