Breast Imaging in Global Health Radiology
摘要
This chapter discusses an approach to breast cancer detection, diagnosis, and management in the low-resource setting. Key concepts include the epidemiology of breast cancer in low- and middle-income countries and appropriate resource allocation toward development of multidisciplinary breast programs that focus on early detection, timely diagnosis, and accessible treatment. Breast cancer screening guidelines and barriers to care are also discussed. These themes are discussed in the context of RAD-AID’s experience in providing breast cancer and osteoporosis screening services.
