This textbook is the third edition of Radiology in Global Health, designed to give you the tools for how to assess, plan, implement, and advance medical imaging and radiology services (including diagnostics and therapeutics) in low-resource settings for underserved populations. The objective of these efforts is to reduce global healthcare disparities, particularly where radiology is scarce, absent, or inaccessible. This text is a roadmap, reference, and companion for global health work by covering the multidisciplinary nature of international radiology. We address the rapidly advancing imaging technologies and the complex ways in which health workers use these tools in low-resource contexts for delivering medical services. This text is primarily aimed to empower the reader by offering methods and resources that enable analysis and thoughtful planning of radiology in global health collaborations. Through careful assessment, planning, and management, with steadfast dedication to our patients’ well-being, this text can be another step toward improving global health equity.
