Just like the French Code Civil, LO contains general and often very broadly formulated rules that are prone to different interpretations. The rules of liability in LO have not been amended substantially ever since its adoption in 1978. B&H is an exception in this respect. Other Yugoslavian successor states have modified their LO’s in order to modernize and/or adjust to the European trends and obligations. However, the broad wording and changes in context and operation indicate that development has occurred.
