This chapter introduces an integrative model, including insights from bioethics, social ethics, and sustainability concepts, and addresses the multiple ethical challenges in contemporary societies. We explore the moral obligations humans hold toward other living beings and the environment and address the question of environmental ethics. We emphasize cooperation among policymakers, national and multinational stakeholders, and the private sector to advance sustainable development toward achieving human dignity and ecological balance.
