Among a sea of possibilities, there is no one clear solution to achieving policy integration. The chapter presents some possible ways to advance integration based on the three Finnish and three German cities studied. In a nutshell, the advice revolves around ensuring sufficient financial and scientific resources, advancing national and international policy diffusion via cities, battling barriers and using institutional possibilities to integrate the sectors, and promoting research on the core themes of sustainable housing. Each of these points is tied together in the last piece of advice, visioning the future: how do we begin to generate ideas of what sustainable housing would look like in 2060?
