Most interviewees recognise the link between housing and climate change, although it tends to come up in interviews only when asked directly. Many are aware of the number of emissions that housing produces, and they believe that climate change is widely considered in housing policy. Yet, the climate perspective is by no means the only perspective of housing and can be overshadowed by others. Councillors argue on the political guidance of municipalities and face different ideological priorities concerning housing and climate. They mainly recognise climate connections in the technological aspect of housing in areas such as construction materials or techniques and energy (efficiency). Integration continues in the form of redensification and the environment, as councillors reflect on a compact but green urban structure. However, interviews show that councillors consider the future and possible options of a sustainable future quite little unless asked directly.

摘要
