POCUS is a friendly technology for pediatric patients, with inherent characteristics that make typical disease processes amenable to diagnosis by ultrasound. There are multiple applications that can be used in the pediatric setting, with specific strategies to enhance adoption. When selecting machines and probes, broadband high-frequency probes can often be used. Clinical pediatric ultrasound use is increasing and has been adopted by multiple POC specialties.
