Burns
摘要
This chapter provides a comprehensive overview of burn injuries, emphasizing both acute and long-term management. It discusses the etiology of burns, including thermal, chemical, electrical, and cold-induced injuries, and highlights the importance of immediate and appropriate interventions, such as the “ABCDE” approach, to stabilize patients and limit the extent of injury. The chapter also explores burn classification, prognosis, and the critical role of multidisciplinary care teams in promoting recovery and rehabilitation. The authors stress the importance of early intervention, resource optimization, and ongoing education in improving burn outcomes. Additionally, the chapter underscores the necessity of burn prevention, especially in marginalized populations, and the need for standardized treatment protocols to ensure equitable care. This chapter also aims to enhance understanding of burn care and encourage the development of effective treatment strategies and preventive measures.
