Basic Trauma Ultrasound
摘要
The growth of point-of-care ultrasonography has made its largest impact in the field of trauma resuscitation. Where physicians previously relied on subjective or slow tests in the forms of clinical exams, peritoneal lavage, or CT scans to make a diagnosis, today’s traumatologists utilize this simple, rapid, and reliable technology to improve care delivery to the injured patient. When used appropriately ultrasound has been proven to improve patient outcomes and change management with minimal time delays, risk to patients or staff, and at minimal cost. It is an invaluable asset to today’s trauma physicians and a potent tool in one’s arsenal.
