Prospects for the Development of Forensic Archaeology in the Countries of Central and Eastern Europe
摘要
The activity of forensic archaeology in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe is focused primarily on researching crimes related to the activity of Nazi and communist totalitarianism, which is a consequence of historical conditions. In this part of Europe, law enforcement authorities still have limited awareness of the extent and to what effect the methods and techniques used by modern archaeology can support activities carried out in connection with a criminal investigation. The presented text is an attempt to determine the actual state and prospects for the development of this discipline in the countries in question.
