There is no doubt that heritage is a crucial element in societies, so it must be protected to allow the next generations to enjoy it. However, its economic value, among other factors like uncontrolled development or climate change, are critical factors that challenge their conservation. In that context, this chapter aims to present a brief proposal for establishing better heritage protection strategies, which will be founded on two specific areas: the Local Police and Forensic Archaeology.
