摘要
The present study focuses on the intersection of culture and economic development by comparing tourism attraction cultures in Germany and Iran. More specifically, in this study, survey research method was employed in order to compare the cultural indicators of the two places: Isfahan (Iran) and Sachsen (Germany). The research shows that the Masculinity (MAS) index in Isfahan (Iran) is on average higher than that in Sachsen (Germany). Governors and local rulers in Isfahan are advised to prioritize a culture of support for gender equality and women. Also, the Uncertainty Avoidance (UA) index in Isfahan (Iran) is on average higher than in Sachsen (Germany). In this context, governors and local rulers in Isfahan are advised to prioritize policies to reduce financial, social, and cultural uncertainty. For example, strengthening tourist health insurance is one of the policies that local governments and tourism companies should consider. The Power Distance (PD) index in Isfahan (Iran) is on average lower than that of Sachsen (Germany). Likewise, the individualism (IDV) index in Isfahan (Iran) is on average lower than that of Sachsen (Germany). The results also show that the Long-term Orientation (LTO) index in Isfahan (Iran) is on average lower than that of Sachsen (Germany). In other words, increasing comfort and security and providing long-term welfare services and economic and political stability can create a long-term perspective for tourists. The results also show that the Restraint versus Indulgence Index (IVR) in Isfahan (Iran) is on average lower than in Sachsen (Germany).
