This chapter summarizes the study. By aligning financial planning with community priorities, ABB enabled the police department to allocate resources effectively and address political challenges. The Ocean View Police Department demonstrated ABB’s utility in fostering data-driven decision-making, improving community trust, and supporting proactive strategies, including directed patrols, community engagement, traffic enforcement, and problem-solving initiatives. ABB’s emphasis on linking costs to operational activities highlights its potential to overcome traditional budgeting limitations and navigate political dynamics, promoting efficiency and enhanced public service delivery.
