In these times with strong tendencies towards globalization, digital transformations, geographical mobility, and internationalization, it is of great interest to promote dialogue and debate on central issues in psychology, such as the training of psychologists. Specifically, the aim of this chapter is to offer a set of reflections and considerations on the teaching of psychology from the European perspective once reading the historical developments and current approaches to the university training of psychologists in Argentina. The chapter by Piñeda et al. (in this volume) offers an excellent overview about the historical trajectory and recent developments on the teaching of psychology in Argentina. It considers the important disruptive situation produced by the pandemic. This reading has led the author of this chapter to reflect on the way in which the training of psychologists in Europe has been approached in recent decades. In doing so, the author has taken into account the Spanish context, closer to him, and also the fact that in Europe, historically, diverse psychological traditions, as well as diverse academic and organizational approaches and forms in the training of psychologists have developed.
