In December 1974, the I Latin American Conference on Training in Psychology was held in Bogotá (Colombia), with the participation of the main leaders of psychology in the region. The objective was to analyze the training programs in psychology, in that founding decade (1970) of the profession of psychologist in a few countries. Latin American colleagues in charge of training psychologists in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Cuba, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Salvador, and Venezuela participated.
