Industry 4.0Industry 4.0 is characterized by automation, digitalization and the use of advanced technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), big data and artificial intelligence, and has the potential to transform production processes, making them more efficient and sustainable. The research problem was therefore central: what are the links between Industry 4.0Industry 4.0 and ESG? To answer this research problem, a bibliometric review was carried out examining scientific production on the relationship between ESG and Industry 4.0Industry 4.0, with the aim of mapping the trends and challenges encountered by academics and professionals in this area. The integration between ESG and Industry 4.0Industry 4.0 is promising, since digital technologies can help optimize production processes, improve environmental and social management and increase transparencyTransparency and corporate governanceCorporate governance. However, the survey pointed out that the application of ESG principles in Industry 4.0Industry 4.0 is still at an early stage, with few studies focusing on early stages, with few studies focusing on practical implementation. It concludes that there is a growing trend towards the adoption of these practicesPractices, driven by pressure for greater sustainability and social responsibility in the industrial context.
